This is a wonderful rhyming book about objects that get stuck in Bearded Sam's beard. It gets downright weird when crazy things appear. It might jingle, jangle, squirm, or squawk, but on the final page, Sam gets a real shock.

Best of all, it happens in real life. So when something weird is stuck in your beard, play the game; “What on Earth is stuck in my Beard?”

This tall tale is about farmyard friends with the clever idea to stand on each other’s back so they can see an extravagant bonanza hidden behind tall trees. It will take some ingenuity though, there’s a goat named Gracie with one eye that’s lazy, a dog named Meg with a peg for a leg, and a cat named Fiskers with extra-long whiskers. There’s a mouse named Cheese and a duck named Quacker, everyone knows them as Cheese and Quackers.
Unless you know an inordinate amount about uncommon animals, you probably don’t know what makes Wombats unique. And unless you read this book, you’ll never know. Children will learn that Aristocrats talk a lot, Pack Rats hoard things, and Hard Hats protect your head, but none of that describes a Wombat. As each page turns, the quiet Wombat sits inconspicuously to the side. The illustrations are set up for children to easily point out the Wombat.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
For Tall Tale Pete, storytelling has always been a way of life, a master of the “slightly exaggerated”, Pete never lets the truth get in the way of a good story. But it was the birth of his first grandchild that transformed his playful exaggerations into a passion: to craft children's books that spark joy. Surrounded by a loving family that is a treasure trove of tall tales themselves, Pete weaves tales filled with unexpected twists, muffled chuckles, and smiles that stretch from ear to ear.
